Our Mission
To provide high quality education and training to new entrants to the maritime profession, exceeding the requirements of the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watch-keeping of Seafarers (STCW) and the International Safety Management Code, as amended.
GEIMS boasts state-of-the-art infrastructure with modern facilities such as air-conditioned classrooms, auditorium, conferencing facilities, well-stocked physical as well as digital library, a modern laboratory, an impressive dining block, an industry-grade workshop and different types of simulators, and sport and gymnasium facilities.
To cater to student aspirations, the institute has partnered with leading international shipping companies to provide on-board training on various types of ships.Upon successful completion of the training programme and obtaining the 2nd Mate/MEO Class IV Certificate of Competency, GEIMS graduates are eligible for employment globally. For those enrolled in ETO and GP Rating courses, completing the required tenure for onboard training is also a prerequisite.
